So this week’s workshop focused on fats and how important they are to our diet. Lots of pregnant moms know that DHA is important for their babies, but have no idea why, and similarly, don’t know where to get it. Now, hopefully you know that DHA is an Omega 3 fat, and the best source is from Fish Oil. (and eating wild caught fish, flaxseed oil, etc)

Neat chart! Except saturated fats are not "Bad" like Trans fats. I don't know why they're always lumped together, as if they occurred together in Nature. They don't. They have similarities because both are solid at room temperature. And that's why we created Trans fats in the first place. But our bodies know how to use saturated fats, whereas trans fats sneak into the same places but don't "work" so they clog up the mechanisms in our cells and slowly build up the dysfunctions that we call chronic illnesses. Also, Omega-6 fatty acids are not "Bad", but they need to be ingested in similar quantities to O-3's. It's the imbalance that's bad, not the fats themselves.
